At this time the Rotary Club of Polk County has now turned in their club charter
and disolved the club. As such this event is in limbo. Rather than
returning this
event to me to get it back on track, I have been told that
the Rotary is trying to
sell this event which they did
NOT pay a cent for.
This event was made
available to the Rotary Club to be a fund raiser.
During their tenure as
tour director, they have caused the ridership to fall
to a very low level of
less than 250 riders in 2011 from a high of 500 rider.
I am sorry that this has
happened. At this time and until I determine what is
going to happen with the
equipment which the Rotary Club does
NOT own, I would
recommend that you
NOT
consider riding this event. If I am able to recover all of the equipment
and get a new group to take over this event then I would recommend that you
consider participating in it again, otherwise, I would go else where to ride
other
events. Please check back for
